Most players email the wrong schools, the wrong way, or not at all. The Coach Emailer in TST fixes all three. It's free, and nothing is ever sent without you pressing send.
1. Find schools that actually fit
Open Tools → College Coach Emailer. You start with 1,092 colleges. Narrow them down with filters:
- Division and conference: D1, D2 or D3, down to the specific conference.
- Location: by state, or by distance from you using your current location.
- School type: public or private, and HBCUs.
- Coach email available: only show programs where a coach's email is listed.
Be honest about level here. Forty realistic programs will get you more real conversations than forty dream schools.
2. Open a school
Each college page shows the head coach and assistants with their emails when they're published, plus the school and athletics websites and the staff directory, so you can double-check anything yourself.
3. Fill in your profile once
Tap Athlete profile and add your name, grad year, height, position, high school and AAU team, GPA, stats, film link and contact info. Every email you build pulls from it automatically, so you never retype it.
4. Build the email
Tap Build Recruiting Email. Pick which coach it goes to (assistants can be CC'd), then add the one line only you can write: why this school. A specific academic, basketball or campus reason beats any compliment.
5. Check your score
Every email gets an email success score out of 100 that updates as you type. It checks the things coaches actually look for:
- A specific coach's name
- Your name and grad year
- Height, position and team
- Real stats or accomplishments
- Academic fit
- A specific reason for this school
- A working film link
- Your contact info
Anything missing shows up as a suggestion. Get it into the 80s or 90s before you send.
6. Send it from your own inbox
The email opens in your own mail app, addressed and ready. You read it, you press send, and it arrives from your address, one school at a time. That's how a coach knows a real player wrote it.
Coaches. Hand this to your juniors and seniors. Ten minutes in the Coach Emailer beats an hour of them guessing at staff pages, and you can check their score before anything goes out.
