Thirty Second Timeout

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

Privacy at a glance: The Thirty Second Timeout app does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, track users across apps or websites, or include analytics SDKs. Signing in is optional; if you create an account, we keep only what is needed to run it, and you can delete it. Your play diagrams and shot data stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. If you book a consulting session, we collect only what we need to schedule it, take payment, and deliver your plan.

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Thirty Second Timeout ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Thirty Second Timeout iOS app (the "App"). The App helps basketball coaches and players create, organize, animate, export, and share basketball play diagrams.

It also covers our website, thirtysecondtimeout.com, and our consulting services. See Our Website and Consulting Services below.

Information We Collect

Optional account. You can use most of the App without an account. If you choose to sign in, we use Google Firebase Authentication. Depending on the method you choose, Firebase receives your email address and password (email sign-in), or an account identifier, name, and email address shared by Apple or Google (Sign in with Apple or Google). Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email behind an Apple relay address. We use this information only to create, secure, and support your account.

Optional location. If you allow it, the App uses your device's location to sort open gyms and colleges by distance. That sorting happens on your device, and we do not store your precise location on our servers.

Information stored on your device. The App keeps the following locally:

This locally stored information is used to provide the App's features and is not sent to us unless you choose to export or share it.

Public schedules. The App downloads public open gym and event schedules from thirtysecondtimeout.com. Like any web request, these include standard technical information, such as your IP address, that our web host receives.

The App does not collect your contacts, photos, advertising identifier, or browsing history.

Files You Import, Export, or Share

The App accesses only files that you deliberately select through Apple's system file picker. When you export or share a play as an image, PDF, or play file, the App uses Apple's share sheet. The destination and recipient are chosen by you. Any information sent through a third-party service is handled according to that service's privacy policy.

Purchases

If the App offers optional in-app purchases, they are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card information. Apple may process purchase and device information under its own privacy policy. You can review Apple's privacy practices at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Tracking, Analytics, and Advertising

The App does not contain third-party advertising, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technology. Google Firebase is used only for optional sign-in. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Our Website and Consulting Services

Our website, thirtysecondtimeout.com, uses Google Analytics to count page visits and clicks on links and buttons. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives standard information such as your browser, device type, approximate location, and the pages you view. We do not send it your name or email address.

The web tools on our site, including the Play Diagrammer, Scout, and Film Room, save your work in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not receive that data unless you choose to share or export it.

When you book a Workflow Audit or another consulting engagement, our scheduling provider, Cal.com, collects your name, email address, the time you choose, and anything you enter in the booking form. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

We use this information only to schedule and deliver your session, send your written plan, invoices, and receipts, and reply to your questions. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. We keep booking and payment records as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, and you can ask us to delete anything else.

Data Retention and Deletion

Play data and preferences remain on your device until you delete the relevant content or remove the App. Exported files remain wherever you chose to save or share them and can be deleted from those locations using the applicable app or service.

If you create an account, your account record (your email address or Apple/Google account identifier) is kept in Firebase until you delete it. You can delete your account from within the App, or email us and we will delete it for you. Play data is not stored on our servers. You may revoke access granted to third-party sharing destinations through your device settings or the applicable third-party service.

Data Security

We rely on iOS security protections and Apple's standard system services to protect information stored on your device. Account sign-in is handled by Google Firebase, Apple, and Google under their own security programs. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but we design the App to minimize data collection and transmission.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can address the concern.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our website, or our services change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
